Time will come sadly for you to replace your boiler either in your home or a property you let and either way you can almost guarantee your existing one will pack up on a cold Friday evening in February…
Rest assured I’ll do everything I can to get you up & running without the need for a new one before I even suggest it but sometimes the spare parts required for a fix include very expensive computer circuitry and digital components and I’d be doing a disservice a boiler is simply better replaced.
There are many merits to a new boiler, they are super efficient now compared to an old back boiler or 15 year old combi, so you’ll save a fortune in gas. I can get them with great manufacturers warranties so reliability is assured, a necessity if you have a young family or the property is let out.
Firstly you need a ‘Gas Safe’ engineer, I have been registered for years, firstly with CORGI and now with Gas Safe. Secondly you need a reliable installer and that starts with them sourcing you a good new boiler. Like everything there are cheap end products which will make a quote very reasonable but if the boiler doesn’t last or the warranty is short then it may be a false economy.
If you need a new boiler and you’d like some help then please call me.
Here are some photos of a recent shower room re-fit.
GAS SAFE IS THE OFFICIAL REGISTER FOR GAS SAFETY
Gas Safe is the official list of gas engineers who are registered to work safely and legally on boilers, cookers, fires and all other gas appliances.
Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey, appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority for each area. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register.
Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009 and Northern Ireland and Guernsey on 1 April 2010.
What does Gas Safe Register do?
The main focus of the Register is on improving and maintaining gas safety to the highest standards. We make sure all gas engineers on the Register, over 125,000, are qualified to work with gas.
We work to protect the public from unsafe gas work through;
- a dedicated national investigations team tracking down individuals working illegally
- regular inspections of Gas Safe registered engineers
- educating consumers and raising awareness of gas safety
- investigating reports of unsafe gas work
Gas Safe Register is here to help keep you and your family safe.
